Sparkles Celebrates her Birthday
Sparkles the Star Fairy was buzzing with excitement, her silver wings fluttering so fast they looked like a blur of starlight. Tonight was no ordinary night in the Celestial Canopy; it was the night Sparkles celebrates her millennial jubilee-her 1,000th birthday!
Every century, a star fairy throws a grand gala, but the 1,000th birthday is when they receive their Cosmic Wand, the magical tool that allows them to light up the night sky entirely on their own.
To make the celebration unforgettable, Sparkles invited creatures from all across the night realm:
The Nebula Pixies, who brought jars of glowing cosmic dust that changed colours when shaken.
The Lunar Elves, who carried instruments carved from fallen meteors, ready to play midnight melodies.
Barnaby, the Ancient Space Turtle, who slowly drifted in carrying a massive cake made of whipped moonbeams and stardust frosting.
As the clock struck midnight, the Grand Elder Fairy stepped forward, holding the glowing Cosmic Wand. It hummed with the power of a thousand supernovas. She handed it to Sparkles, who took a deep breath, raised the wand high, and gave it a joyful swirl.
Instantly, the dark sky above exploded into a breathtaking display of shimmering gold, deep purples, and vibrant blues. Loops of shooting stars zipped across the horizon, spelling out “Happy Birthday Sparkles!” in brilliant light.
The music erupted, the pixies danced, and Sparkles flew high into the glowing canopy, knowing this was just the beginning of her brightest millennium yet.
Sparkles closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and blew out the glowing candles on her moonbeam cake. As she did, she made a secret, special wish: she wished to find the legendary Wandering Star, a mythical cosmic light that had been lost for centuries.
Legend said that anyone who found the Wandering Star could grant one pure wish to a mortal child on Earth who needed a little extra magic. Sparkles didn’t want the power just for herself; she wanted to share the beauty of the Celestial Canopy with someone who had never seen a shooting star.
As the final candle flickered out, her brand-new Cosmic Wand began to vibrate warmly in her hand. It pulled her forward like a compass, pointing directly toward the dark, uncharted edges of the Whispering Galaxy. Her wish was already setting her next adventure in motion!
